The final PC requests for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare have arrived, and they bring good and bad news

Activision has decided to share the final requirements for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare with a few modifications including an unprecedented hunger for your hard drive.

Activision has released updated PC requests for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Previously released requests were only for beta or multiplayer, and now we have the final full game requirements.

Although the title sounded a bit ominous, not much has changed compared to the beta. The good news is that RAM has fallen from 16 GB to 12 GB in the recommended requirements, and the bad thing is that a full game will require an enormous amount of hard disk space. More specifically, even a full 175 GB! Additionally, forget about choosing between DirectX 11 and 12 because Modern Warfare on PC will only be playable with DX12.

Minimum requirements:

  • CPU: Intel Core i3-4340 or AMD FX-6300
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon HD 7950
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • HDD: 175 GB
  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit (SP1) or Windows 10 64-bit
  • DirectX 12.0

Recommended requirements

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD Ryzen R5 1600X Processor
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 / AMD Radeon R9 390 or AMD Radeon RX 580
  • RAM: 12 GB
  • HDD: 175 GB
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit since last update
  • DirectX 12.0

Call of Duty games are known for relatively good optimization, so this should also be the case here, regardless of the game's use of the new engine. Ultimately, the requirements are not overly scary and are consistent with most modern AAA games. Can you, and more importantly, play Modern Warfare when it finally comes out on October 25th?
