Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 smelled of garlic, delayed well before 2020

The Vampire Adventure of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, however, will not be playing in the spring of 2020 as announced.

The first half of 2020 could be devastating for many. The Last of Us: Part II, Cyberpunk 2077, Marvel's Avengers, Dying Light 2, Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Doom Eternal are here. We believed there would be an ambitious RPG Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 among that team, but as the development team informed us, this was not going to happen. The game no longer has an indicative release date, and we only know that it won't be out in the first half of 2020.

The development studio says such a decision is made in the interest of the player because delay will contribute to the quality of the game. If you have watched any of the Bloodlines 2 gameplay videos then you know that the shown did not exactly demonstrate some quality in the artificial intelligence segments of the opponent. So, it's probably true that the game needs more "time in the oven".

Still, the delay is primarily due to the aforementioned lineup of games that belong to far more sound and famous series than Vampire. However, vampire-themed fans have already shown that such games can be successful - last year, Vampyr was sold in over a million copies.
