The Witcher 3 on the Switch may have better graphics too, if you dare play around with the modifications

Nintendo Switch users have discovered that The Witcher 3 for this console has more graphics capabilities than at first glance.

The Witcher 3 on the Nintendo Switch is known to be graphically inferior to other versions. The number of frames on it is locked to thirty frames of seconds, and the graphic settings are lowered to the lowest level to make that number sustainable.

However, to change that too - at least to some extent. Some more tech-savvy players have verified that The Witcher for Switch looks “under the hood”, concluding that it is actually a port of the PC version. The ability to change details and resolution, and unlock the number of frames per second, so there is on the Switch, only it is initially hidden to users.

This page shows how to unlock these options. This gives you the ability to run The Witcher 3 on the Switch at high graphics settings, either at sixty frames per second or other resolution. Of course, since these are not officially supported capabilities, the process itself is not entirely secure - the console can only withstand a certain load, and even small changes upward will cause considerable warming.

There are instructions for how to get combinations that work on the site, but, of course, the risk is always present in such operations. So decide for yourself. Here you can see how The Witcher 3 looks on the Switch in 60 FPS:
