We're not getting a new Battlefield next year, that's for sure
Instead of working at Battlefield, Electronic Arts is planning to dedicate itself to working on the popular Apex Legends in due course.
I don't know if you expected a sequel to Battlefield to be out next year. It's a series that comes out on a fairly regular basis, so maybe it is. If so - here's a cold shower. There will be nothing before the new Battlefield by 2021 at the earliest. That's what they say at Electronic Arts.
The indicative objective is to release the game between the beginning of April 2021 and the end of March 2022. They plan to devote themselves to Apex Legends by then. This one is so popular it's no wonder. Here, he is currently played by over 70 million players.
Clearly, the new Battlefield is still a complete unknown. Nothing is yet known when it should hit the market - not even the name.
