The Last of Us Part II was postponed a month after it was released
Sony's big PlayStation 4 exclusivity is unlikely to play out in the second month of 2020, as announced.
UPDATE: The new release date for The Last of Us Part II is May 29, 2020. They apologized for the delay to Naughty Dog, but say they were forced to it so as not to compromise the quality of the game itself.
Original News: Exactly one month ago, it was revealed that The Last of Us Part II is coming out on February 21, 2020. It's officially still that, but yesterday rumors began circulating around the internet that one of Sony's PS4 games would be delayed. The Last of Us Part II is an obvious contender here because it is the only Sony exclusive to have a release date set. But the closest confirmation came to Kotaku, whose multiple sources announced that TLOU 2 would be delayed.
Fortunately, the delay will be less, it is stated that we will play the game in spring 2020. This means a minimum of one month later than promised, or a maximum by mid-year. One potential reason for the delay is the release date of another PlayStation 4 exclusive. Specifically, Final Fantasy 7 Remake comes out on March 3, 2020, about a week after the initial release date for TLOU 2.
