League of Legends is coming to consoles and cell phones, Riot Games announces seven new games at once

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the successful League of Legends, Riot Games has unveiled seven new projects, most of which are part of the LoL world.

In the last ten years, the League of Legends creators have made no other play. But all the while, they were developing ideas for new projects, several at a time. How exactly, you wonder? Seven pieces!

All of these projects were revealed last night to mark the 10th anniversary of LoL, and while it may seem like a bad place to make such an announcement, it's actually quite the opposite, as all projects are somehow related to League of Legends, that is, its world. Let's go in order:

League of Legends: Wild Rift is a brand new MOBA designed for consoles and mobile devices. In it, LoL will be played with a twin-stick control scheme (using two analog stick controllers), and matches will generally take 15 to 18 minutes. Mobile gaming is coming in 2020.

Legends of Runeterra will be a competitive card game in the LoL world. Of course, the maps will include famous characters like Draven, Fiora and Teemo, but not all characters will be from Runeterra. Players will choose one of the seven regions in which they will play and collect points, and from Riot have confirmed that tickets will not be unlocked by purchasing random prize packs. The game is available now through closed beta testing.

League of Legends Esports Manager - yes it will be. In the style of Football Manager, we will lead esports teams of professional LoL players. Exit is planned for 2020.

Teamfight Tactics Mobile is, as the name suggests, a mobile version of Riot's response to the Auto Chess phenomenon.

The remaining three projects are still in the early stages of development and have no names. Project A is a tactical shooter based on a variety of characters. Sounds like Riot's version of Overwatch.

Project F, on the other hand, is Riot's Diablo, a kind of third-person RPG in which we will explore Runeterre's world. Finally, we have Project L, a fighting game in the LoL world that is not run by Riot himself but by an external Radiant Entertainment team.

If you thought it was all from LoL, you were fooled. We are done with the new games, but Riot is preparing two more games besides them. Arcane is an animated series based on a LoL template, coming in 2020, while League of Legends Origins is a documentary on the emergence of a popular game that is available today on Netflix.
