The writer of Dragon Age 2 does a game that is a musical ... with a minotaur

Former BioWare screenwriter David Gaider has announced his new game called Chorus, which belongs to the atypical musical adventure genre.

New Australian Summerfall Studios, founded by Dragon Age 2 screenwriter David Gaider, has unveiled its debut project. The game is called Chorus: An Adventure Musical, and just as the title itself reveals, it's a musical-shaped adventure. Such things are not seen every day, should be admitted.

The main character in the play will be Grace, the singer whose husband Kaliopa dies at the doorstep and is accused of murder by the Greek gods. Grace must, therefore, discover the truth about the murder before the Greek pantheon pronounces her death sentence, and the truth will come, among other things, by flirting with other characters, including deities.

It is still questionable whether the game will go into development as the publishing houses told the developers that the musical was not making its way into the video game market, so they turned to a crowdfunding campaign on the platform of Fig. They are looking for $ 600,000 to develop the game, and the first two days of the campaign have raised 17% of that amount.

One of the reasons why they are looking for such a large amount is the fact that well-known names in the video game industry have been hired for the game. Music is composed by composer Austin Wintory (Journey, Assassin's Creed Syndicate), ubiquitous actor Troy Baker oversees the sound, with actress Laura Bailey (Uncharted 4, Gears 5) playing the lead role.
