If you were looking forward to playing the new Fallout: New Vegas creator title on the PlayStation 4 Pro console, we have no good news for you. Specifically, it has been revealed that The Outer Worlds will not receive special treatment on the Sony console, and will look the same on the base model and the more powerful Pro console model.
And it wouldn't be so controversial if games on the competing Xbox One X platform didn't get 4K Ultra HD support and would look much better than by default. This is how PS4 Pro owners will get a graphically inferior version of the game compared to Xbox One X owners.
It's interesting because it's the publisher of the Private Division, or 2K Games, and it's not in their interest that the game has such platform differences. But the game's creators are now owned by Xbox Game Studios, or Microsoft, and it's clear where that decision came from. As much as Microsoft is open to the idea of making their games available on other platforms, they don't seem to be interested in making these games as good as they are on the Xbox.
