Dragon Age 4 is probably not coming before 2022
New information suggests that Battlefield will not be the only Electronic Arts series to receive a sequel next year.
It was first announced today that a new Battlefield would not be released next year. And it looks like it won't be the only Electronic Arts series to be hit by that fate. Mild Jorgensen, head of finance at the company, has announced that a new Dragon Age will probably have to wait until 2022.
"Otherwise, we are not in the habit of splitting perennial plans this early," he said at a recent conference, "but the new Dragon Age is likely to come only after fiscal 2022 is over." 2022 - because that is when the current fiscal year ends and a new one begins. As Jorgensen did not want to reveal plans for 2023, it was assumed that the game would be out before then.
Dragon Age didn't have a set approximate release date, so no one should be angry that it's coming out just then. The year 2022 is probably a bit longer than expected, as the game was announced last year. But, nothing for that. At least Bioware will have time to fine-tune all the details - lately their games aren't as good as they used to be. That is hardly disputable.
