The CD Project RED has revealed what classes of vehicles we can expect in the upcoming futuristic escapade called Cyberpunk 2077.
Shooting, talking and hacking will be the basic mechanics of Cyberpunk 2077, but they will all be connected by another activity - driving. The game will be driven from a first- or third-person perspective, that is, with a view from the cabin or outside. Six different classes of vehicles will be driven, in order: economy class, trucks, executive vehicles, sports cars, motorcycles and hypercars.
In addition to them, there will be one special category in the game, and that is Johnny Silverhand’s 100-year-old vehicle, the Porsche 911 Turbo.
Vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077 will be available in two ways: by purchase and theft. The purchased vehicles will be available to the player permanently, and he will be able to summon them at any time while on the street. Summoning vehicles works similarly to Witcher 3, but the CD Project promises that Cyberpunk vehicles will not appear on the roof like Roach's horse in the previous game.
It was also confirmed that there will be organized racing in the game, and the in-game car designer told players that one should definitely not go into those races without a weapon in the passenger seat.
One of the nice things about vehicles will be that the same vehicle models will differ in appearance depending on where you find them. For example, vehicles in the richer neighborhood will be new, but the same model in the poorer neighborhood will be modified and some parts of the cabin will be ripped out or replaced with "used".
CD Projekt RED also paid special attention to the sound of the vehicles themselves, which they recorded on real cars. As they say, even though it is a futuristic game, the vehicles themselves will not sound futuristic but rough, powerful and adrenaline-fueled.
The Arch motorcycle, developed by CD Projekt in collaboration with Keanu Reeves, a passionate motorcycle enthusiast, also has a special story.
