Electronic Arts has released the hardware and software requirements for the next Need for Speed game. They are not terrible, but one thing still stands out in the negative.
Need for Speed Heat is coming, and Electronic Arts is raising the temperature with the release of PC requests for the game. For many, the PC version will be preferred because it is the only version that can run at 60 frames per second, and the good news is that it won't require particularly strong hardware for that - some mid-range graphics cards will be enough.
Admittedly, one thing stands out. At a minimum, the Windows 10 operating system is listed. We don't know exactly why, but that doesn't mean the game won't play on Windows 7 or Windows 8.1. But here it is, Electronic Arts - they haven't been able to provide the exact roster of gaming requests lately, as they already proved in the case of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
In any case, the requirements are as follows:
Minimum heated configuration:
- OS: Windows 10
- CPU: Intel Core i5-3570 or AMD FX-6350
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 / AMD Radeon 7970 or AMD Radeon R9 280x
- RAM: 8 GB
- HDD: 50 GB
Recommended microwave:
- OS: Windows 10
- CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 480
- RAM: 16 GB
- HDD: 50 GB
