Ubisoft Postpones Three Games - Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine and Gods & Monsters

Ubisoft has delayed the release of three of its games and in the first half of 2020 it will have nothing significant to launch.

It's not often that four high-budget games are postponed in the same day, but here's an unlucky Thursday, 24. 10. We first learned that The Last of Us Part II would be released three months later than planned, and now Ubisoft delayed the release of even three games. The victims of the delay are Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Siege and Gods & Monsters.

All of these games were due out before or early spring. Watch Dogs Legion was announced on March 6, Gods & Monsters on February 25, and Rainbow Six Quarantine for Spring 2020. Now, they have been moved to Ubisoft's fiscal year 2020/2021. beginning in the fourth month. There are no specific dates mentioned, so it is possible for the games to be postponed until the end of 2020, perhaps even by 2021, though this may be less likely.

Ubisoft's president, Yves Guillemot, said these games need more time to deliver optimal experiences for players, but in the shadow of the delay, it's actually a pretty bad year for Ubisoft. While they picked up some serious earnings in 2018 with Far Cry 5 and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, in 2019 they failed to replicate that result. First The Division 2 didn't do what they expected financially, and then came the unfortunate Ghost Recon Breakpoint, one of the worst rated Ubisoft games of this generation.
