Skynet activated, AI War 2 exited Early Access

Ten years after the release of one of the most interesting strategic titles, we have a sequel that is adapted to modern times and enhances what made the previous part entertaining.

Now back in 2009, AI War saw the light of day so even though it wasn't overly media-exposed, all the strategists who played the game were saying just one thing - it's a unique and fun strategy. The sequel before us had a successful Kickstarter campaign, but AI War 2 spent about a year in the Early Access phase to make it as good as possible in its 1.0 version.

This is not a classic strategy, although it is a hybrid of RTS and grand strategy genres in which it is the main opponent of AI. As it usually is, the galaxy is conquered and we are the last wheel to have to conquer all the opponents on the map. To make this easier, the sequel wanted to achieve a simpler but deeper gameplay experience while introducing other enhancements for easier and more accessible gaming.

Of course, there were no innovations and improvements such as factions, fleet systems, map types, diplomacy and similar elements that we usually see inside the sequels. It is worth mentioning that the game is down to 40% off until November 1, so it can be bought via Steam for € 10.70 which is a very affordable price for one of the more interesting titles on the market.
