Google Stadia received the launch date

Google has informed the nation of gamers that their new gaming platform is coming on the third Tuesday of the 11th month.

At the launch of the new Google Pixel mobile phone, we also received some announcements relevant to the gaming world. Google has confirmed that their streaming platform, called Stadia, will go live on November 19, 2019. We knew earlier that it was coming in the eleventh month, but now the date is known. From then on, the service will be able to be used on PCs and Macs, Google Pixel mobile phones and TVs with the Chromecast Ultra.

As we have pointed out several times before, this date does not apply to the undeveloped territories of the world, so streaming via Stage will not be available in the Balkans, but closest across the sea - in Italy.

So this means nothing to us - for now. However, this will be Google's first concrete entry into the video game world, and it's a very significant event for the entire industry. We've already seen how this has affected competition - Sony has reduced the price of its PlayStation Now service and Steam has announced Remote Play Together functionality.

Streaming technology is not new to the gaming world - we've had OnLive before, GeForce Now has been testing for years, and there have been a few more attempts. Google is, however, the largest and most significant player with a virtually unlimited budget. If they fail to make gaming available independently of the hardware, then for years no one will succeed.

For now, there are not many indications that Google Stadia could be a successful startup platform, but its creators say they are entering the marathon, not the sprint. It can be discussed that Stadia will be launched with a very strong lineup of games including Red Dead Redemption 2, Borderlands 3, The Division 2, Destiny 2, Mortal Kombat 11, Metro Exodus, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Final Fantasy 15 and others hits. Rarely has any platform been able to deliver so many significant games since its launch.
