See if your PC can run sarcastic The Outer Worlds

Obsidian's The Outer Worlds is nearing its release, and most PC gamers should not be afraid of this, as the game requirements aren't terrible.

Obsidian Entertainment team games are usually more challenging than they really should be. But this is most often a problem of optimization, not of the requirements themselves. Hopefully, such problems won't bother the upcoming sci-fi RPG The Outher Worlds, and as far as the hardware requirements for the game are concerned, they are generally reasonable.

The Outer Worlds will not weigh over 100 gigabytes, will not require an RTX card or some rabid processor. In fact, you will be able to play it on AMD Phenom II, if anyone else uses it. This is good news for owners of expensive graphics cards as well, as they can also hope for gameplay in 4K resolution.

The requirements for The Outer Worlds are as follows:

Minimal bucket

  • OS: Windows 7 (SP1) 64bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-3225 or AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 650 Ti or AMD HD 7850
  • RAM: 4 GB
  • HDD: 40 GB

Recommended machine

  • OS: Windows 10 64bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K or Ryzen 5 1600
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or Radeon RX 470
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • HDD: 40 GB
