Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will use the Battle Pass system as Fortnite
Activision has revealed what kind of monetization system they'll use in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare there will be no box of random rewards, it has now been officially confirmed from Activision. Of course, this does not mean that there will be no content that you can spend real money on. Instead of a lootbox system, the game will be implemented Battle Pass as used in Fortnite and similar games.
This means that the game will occasionally receive new content in the form of weapons, weapon accessories and cosmetic items. Weapons and accessories will be unlocked by gaming, ie they will be free of charge - they just need to be unlocked, while cosmetics will be bought with real money or COD points (which are also won by gaming). In addition, it has been confirmed once again that all additional folders will be available free of charge to all players, at the same time across all platforms.
It is worth noting that Battle Pass will not be available immediately upon release of the game, which we are suspicious of, because when it comes to Activision we should always be on the lookout. This kind of strategy seems like a good thing, but there must be a catch somewhere.
