Sony has announced that you will need to install software version 7.0 on your PlayStation 4 console starting this week.
Testing of a new software upgrade for PlayStation 4 consoles is underway this summer, and this week should be made available to all users of the Sony platform. Updating version 7.00 brings two significant things, and the most benefits will be enjoyed by all those who love to communicate via voice.
Specifically, the Party option to create a group of players you play games with online multiplayer from this version will be increased from eight members to a maximum of 16 members. In addition, the audio quality of that network connection will improve, so you can hear your teammates better and with less interruption.
Changes were also made to the Remote Play option in combination with cell phones and tablets. Now, the use of the Remote Play option on these devices requires Android version 5.0 or higher, and they no longer have to be Sony Xperia phones than any other mobile phone. Unfortunately, to connect your DualShock 4 controller to your cellphone via Bluetooth, you will need the latest version of Android (10).
