Martha is Dead is a slightly different game about WWII

Martha is Dead is a dark psychological thriller that will show how civilians cope with the trauma of the 1944 war in Italy.

World War II is most often the theme of games where one shoots at opponents or controls units from a strategic perspective. But in 2020, something different arrives. Martha is Dead is a psychological thriller to which World War II forms the backdrop of the story.

It is an adventure that takes place in Tuscany in 1944 and follows the daughter of a German soldier who deals with the trauma of war, but also with the recent death of her twin sister, Martha. Martha is brutally murdered and the truth of her murder floats to the surface just as the horrors of war are approaching.

The game will take place first-person, and will be powered by Unreal Engine 4, so we're promised photorealistic graphics. The story is not quite accidentally placed in Italy, because the game is made by Italian studio LKA, which previously made a similar adventure called The Town of Light.

Martha is Dead will be out in 2020. It has not yet been confirmed on which platforms the game will appear.
