People in isolation do not know what else to do, so they play Football Manager 2020

It is no great surprise that another game on Steam has broken its previous record by the number of active players.

We have witnessed numerous delays and cancellations of sporting events due to the coronavirus pandemic. So many football games are not played, championships, the Champions League and the European League are paused. The upcoming European Championship is also being questioned. To break the monotony of home, many people throw themselves into managerial waters.

Last weekend, Football Manager 2020 set a new record of its own on the number of active players on Steam. On Sunday, Sega's game was played by 89,568 users at one time. Although this number is twice lower at the time of writing, it is worth noting that in the last 24 hours the FM2020 numbered just over 83,000 people.

Coronavirus holds almost the entire world in a pinch. Productions of films and series are being delayed, and their premiere is canceled and numerous conventions in the video game industry have been canceled. However, everyone is self-sufficient in their own way, so we have witnessed many statistical records in the last month. From Steam, through Counter Strike: Global Offensive to Rainbow Six Siege and Ark: Survival Evolved - they all experienced, so-called, success during these difficult times.

Otherwise, it will be interesting to see if FM 2021 has any scenarios for a pandemic. It wouldn't be that bizarre either - the game simulated Brexit for three years before the UK officially exited the European Union.
