In the new Resident Evil game we will also be able to play the role of zombies

Capcom has finally explained to us how Project Resistance, an asymmetrical multiplayer title in the world of Resident Evil, will work.

On Monday, it was confirmed that the new Resident Evil title, still called Project Resistance, is actually a multiplayer game. We knew then that four players would have to play cooperatively in order to survive. But now an additional plot has been revealed - Project Resistance is actually an asymmetric multiplayer 4v1 format title.

Players playing on the Survivors team must escape from the complex to find a way out. Of course, the exit door is not wide open, but the players have to solve some puzzles beforehand. Each character has a unique skill: Tyron is a tank and receives less damage, Valerie is supportive and can heal other team members, Samuel is killed with a cold weapon, and January has the ability to hack cameras.

On the way of this team will be prevented by a player in the role of the so-called. Mastermind. Through the cameras, he monitors the progress of the players trying to escape and places enemies on them. It has a limited number of zombies, liqueurs, dogs and other types of enemies, and can directly control them. In addition, it can set different traps for players, turn off lights, lock doors, etc.

It is clearly evident that the new Resident Evil spin-off draws inspiration from other popular games in the genre, primarily Dead by Daylight. However, the attempt to innovate should also be commended, as here the player who is the hunter at hand has a number of different ways to tact and confuse the plans with other players.

Project Resistance is not under development at Capcom but at Taiwan's NeoBards Entertainment. The game has been announced for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (Steam).
