Sony has opened its own store to sell PlayStation consoles and accessories

Sony is now offering the option to purchase PlayStation 4 consoles and accessories online, directly and without intermediaries.

Sony launched a new chapter of the PlayStation brand yesterday by opening an online store where customers can purchase their PlayStation (4) consoles, accessories and games in a physical release directly. It is the first time that Sony consoles are sold directly, without dealers, dealers or other people's stores.

But before your brain thinks that this could mean a cheaper price for the PlayStation and everything in our market, it's worth pointing out that the new online store is only for the US market now. It is likely that Sony will one day offer the same in Europe, but we do not have confirmation yet.

On the other hand, don't invest too much in the hope that PlayStation equipment will be cheaper this way if one of these comes to us. Although we PlayStation Consoles really pay more than the rest of the world when you convert dollars / euros to the kuna, the prices would probably remain the same in this case. Namely, the PlayStation Store has its own Croatian version where Sony directly sells games for 549 kuna, which is definitely not the same amount as 60 dollars or 60 euros. We doubt it would be different with consoles.

The reason why the online store for PlayStation equipment is open at all is actually pretty clear. Americans are ahead of the holiday season for which they begin to prepare as early as the tenth month. Consoles are an attractive gift for the holidays, but stock is limited for retailers. So instead of Sony depending on the dealers' business and their actions, this way they can design their offer and make full profit from the sale. For example, all PlayStation Plus subscribers are offered free shipping the next day.

For buyers, this is an attractive thing because they do not have to struggle with their elbows to reach consoles in a rush to shops. Although, as I hear it, it's one of Black Friday's charms - if you don't have bruises later, it's your Friday like any other.
