Announced Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond, Returns to WWII

The team responsible for Titanfall and Apex Legends has announced the revival of the Medal of Honor series. Admittedly, in the form of a VR game.

The team that once led the development of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, by many the best part of the MoH series, is now developing a new Medal of Honor. And this one will not focus on modern warfare, but returns on the topic of World War II. Could it be better? Well it probably can, because most players won't play Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond after all, because the same VR game is exclusive to Oculus devices.

We know that the excitement has just subsided, but it's still exciting that a top team like Respawn Entertainment is developing a VR game. It is also interesting that the game uses some realistic mechanics, for example when throwing a grenade you have to take the grenade off the belt, activate it and physically throw it. It is similar to loading weapons in which movements you have to load ammunition. Admittedly, this is not something out of the ordinary, and the PS VR exclusive Blood & Truth had such mechanics earlier this year.

Unlike other VR games that are mostly short, the new Medal of Honor will offer as many as 50 levels in which we will infiltrate secret Nazi installations, rush to Omaha Beach, drive tanks and bombard enemies on planes.

The Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond will be available for the Oculus Rift sometime during 2020.
