PC requests for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta have arrived

Infinity Ward has released hardware specifications for the upcoming testing of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Play requests are not terrible.

This year's Call of Duty uses a new engine, the first time since the series. We expect, therefore, that the hardware requirements for the game will increase slightly compared to Black Ops 4, but judging by the beta test requirements, you need not worry. Specifically, CoD: Modern Warfare should also run on six-year-old hardware.

Admittedly, the beta or multiplayer requirements are listed, so don't take them as final ones - the game in single player should be a bit smoother with hardware, so the final requirements won't be lower than this. Either way, it looks like the new CoD might be the first DX12-only game, though it's not confirmed. Nevertheless, it will be playable on Windows 7 systems as well.

Here's a requirements:

Minimum requirements:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k or similar AMD
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 or GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon HD 7950
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • HDD: 45 GB
  • OS: Windows 7 64-bit (SP1)

Recommended configuration:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 4470k or similar AMD
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon R9 390
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • HDD: 45 GB
  • OS: Windows 10

The PC version of Modern Warfare will be particularly customizable for graphics and controls. You can check out the full list of what can be changed on the official blog, and we will point out that you can, for example, determine if you will automatically switch to other weapons when you are currently out of ammo; you can specify a minimum delay in switching between weapons in milliseconds, as well as a delay in leaving mounted weapons (eg machine guns).
