Commandos 2 - People of Courage

To date, exactly eighteen years ago, the most successful part of the Commandos series, the only one to appear on consoles, came out.

The Commandos game series never got the glory it deserved, but at the end of the last century and the beginning of this century, it was the leader of the real-time tactical games genre. The series confirmed its expertise to this day exactly 18 years ago when Commandos 2: Men of Courage appeared.

The sequel to Behind Enemy Lines brought back our old crew including Green Beret, spy, sniper and more. They were joined by three other new members: a thief, a seducer and a Whiskey dog. The new characters opened up additional opportunities and opportunities to sabotage the Nazi forces, but on the other hand the enemies also became more capable and responded differently to different types of distractions. One of the major changes was that they immediately fired at Commandose instead of firing it at sight.

Commandos 2 initially came out as exclusive for the PC platform, but Eidos Interactive wanted to extend the popularity of the series to consoles as well. Because of this, the game appeared on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox consoles a year later. Unfortunately, this version of the game was inferior to that of PC due to more complicated controls. Due to this failure, Commandos later did not return to third-party consoles, but only after switching to a completely different format with Strike Force in 2006.

Commandos games, including Men of Courage, can be acquired in numerous places in their digital editions today. The Commandos remaster was announced mid-year and is expected to release in the twelfth month of 2019 on PCs and all current consoles.
