Red Dead Redemption 2 will not get single-player expansion

The story of Red Dead Redemption 2 has been concluded and Rockstar has been told that all the focus is now on multiplayer.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is about to fill its first year of existence. Over the last 11 months, the game has received several significant updates, but has only grown substantially in the Red Dead Online (multiplayer) component. Nonetheless, some fans have raised hopes that Rockstar will also deliver single-player expansion, as was the case with the first game and the excellent Undead Nightmare addition. However, such a possibility has now been officially dropped.

In an interview with VG24 / 7, Rockstar's Katie Pica said the team is fully focused on the online component of the game. He says that they have a lot of work to do and a lot of space for different things, and their goal is to make the online component of the game as content as the single-player world.

While this will disappoint some fans, it can't be said to be shocking. Rockstar has already demonstrated with GTA 5 that it no longer needs single-player component extensions, and the RDR 2 itself is locked in on all possible sides.
