Maritime battle royale Maelstrom switches to a free-to-play model

Although still in the Early Access phase, Maelstrom will no longer be able to buy it, but everyone will have the opportunity to try the game for free to show off their captain's skills.

If you don't know what to play this weekend and you're bored with all the popular battle royale games, cast your eyes on Maelstrom. The title last year raised the sails to enter the early access phase and required just under 20 euros.

Now the game has switched to a free to play model so it can be played for free. Although there is no rifle firing here, you will be able to do it pretty quickly because the point is already known: the winner is the player whose boat does not end up at the bottom of the sea, either from enemy cannons or from some monsters lurking underwater.

By switching to the given game model, all the progress will be completely free of charge. While there is a premium currency within the game that can be used to buy advancements for advancement, battle pass or cosmetics, no premium item will provide any competitive advantage. Also, there will be no loot boxes inside the game.

If you want to fight ships and show resourcefulness at sea, hop on Steam and download the game for free.
