Riot Games has partnered with luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton to make the Summoner Cup trophy case and skins for LoL champions.
Luxury fashion and esports are two things that don't really go together. Still, French fashion house Louis Vuitton has become the official partner of the creators of League of Legends, and as they say in Casablanca, it may be the beginning of a wonderful friendship.
Specifically, Louis Vuitton, in collaboration with Riot Games, will make a unique suitcase for the prestigious Summoner's Cup trophy to be awarded to the League of Legends World Cup winners. This part comes as no surprise, as the French company creates similar suitcases for the cups of other major competitions, such as the World Cup.
But cooperation will not stop there. Nicolas Ghesquière, artistic director of the Louis Vuitton Women's Collection, will design unique skins for Champions and Capsule collections for League of Legends. Who knows, maybe they will be more expensive than your life.
This is not the first time Louis Vuitton has a connection to the gaming world. Three years ago, they promoted their products with the help of Lightning from Final Fantasy 13, and earlier in 2019 they launched their own retro game, Endless XL Runner.
