After discovering the edible packaging of Football Manager 2020, Sports Interactive announced what new features we could expect in a new release.
The most important innovations of Football Manager 2020 have been revealed and I must admit that for a long time the innovations were not so abstract and ... boring. According to the motto of the game "Create Future", a lot of things are focused on the future - creating goals and promises and developing young talents. Here are the most interesting points:
- a Development Hub was introduced in which the development of football players can be directly monitored
- The Development Hub will also help you identify players who may be able to break into the first team, with expert staff there to provide more detailed progress reports and tips on what to do.
- footballers of particular talent and potential will be singled out
- this center will also be able to track all the players you send on loan in one place
- within the Development Hub you can also manage most tasks for the backup and junior team
- footballers will now be able to more clearly define the breakthrough in the first team and the conditions for it
- for example, when signing a contract, we will be able to determine how much they will play in future seasons
- We will also be able to give the club leadership a longer-term vision for managing the club
- for example, we will be able to set a five-year work plan and split it into segments - season by season
- negotiating long-term plans will not have to be done immediately, but during the season
- long-term vision in running the club will be taken into account when applying for other jobs, and the manager's reputation will be able to earn him additional points in the competition
- satisfaction with managerial work will now be rated A + to F
- Graphically, the game will make the most progress in showing models of managers and football players, with a more natural look and more details on uniforms
- the audience will also be more detailed, and the lawns will have details like mud and clues that players will leave behind
