Divinity: Original Sin 2 came on the Nintendo Switch, with a bunch of other older games

The Nintendo Switch will host some cult titles from the past this fall, including one of the best games of 2017.

We never thought The Witcher 3 could appear on the Nintendo Switch console, and that's exactly what will happen this fall. I also never thought that one of my favorite games ever, Divnity: Original Sin 2, could come to life on that platform, and here it is - it's already happened, the game is on Switch today.

WE are not saying that we are really attracted to the idea of playing that game with a significantly slick presentation, but there is one thing that is appealing. Specifically, unlike other console versions, D: OS 2 on the Switch has a cross-save option with PC or Steam. This means that you can start the game on your PC, switch to Switch, and so on, and the progress you make remains on both platforms.

The good news for the owners of the Switch Console didn't just stop with Divnity: Original Son 2. Several more cult games for the Switch have been announced and they are coming soon. Here are the titles:

  • Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and Assassin's Creed: Rogue will come to the Switch in one bundle as Assassin's Creed Rebel Collection - hopefully just better than AC3 Remastered
  • We already wrote in a separate news item that Overwatch: Legendary Edition is coming to the Switch
  • former Wien-exclusive Xenoblade Chronicles to receive its Definitive Edition in 2020 on the Switch Console
  • Ancient Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Outcast is coming to Switch on September 24th this year
  • the never-understood but ingeniously twisted game Deadly Premonition is available today on Switch as Deadly Premonition Origins
  • one of the best detective games of this decade, Return of the Obra-Dinn, arrives on Switch later this fall
  • Doom 64 from Nintendo 64 will come alive on Switch on November 22, 2019.
