Here's where you can try Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta for free

Next weekend, the first open beta test of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare begins. Here's everything you need to know about it.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare could already be tried out last month through alpha testing. But now we follow a slightly more significant view of the game through beta testing. It will again be exclusive to players on the PlayStation 4 console this week, but will be playable on other platforms as early as next weekend.

The situation with the terms is a little confusing, so let's clarify when it starts.

If you have pre-ordered the beta test, you will be able to access the beta two days earlier, or two days more to try the game. The so-called early beta access will be open on Thursday, 12. 9. If you've pre-ordered digitally, the beta will be waiting for you at the PS Store. If you ordered the game in physical release, you should get the beta access code in the mail you provided when you purchased it and then activate that code on the PS Store.

If you did not pre-register for the game, you can try out the beta for two days - from Saturday, September 14th to Monday, September 16th.

As part of this beta you will be able to try out 2v2 Gunfight mode as well as the traditional 6v6 Deathmatch. For the first time, it will be possible to play matches in the dark where NVG glasses will have to be used. Fortunately for console players, the beta will only be played with players from the same platform.

Admittedly, if you're curious about how cross-platform multiplayer in CoD will work, this testing will be reserved for the period from 19 to 23 this month. Then players on PC and Xbox will be able to try the game.
