Civilization 6 got its battle royale mode

The new multiplayer mode in Civlization 6 puts up to 12 players on the same map and challenges them to survive with only one unit.

When the creators of Civilization told us they were creating a new multiplayer mode that would be different from anything we've seen in the Civilization series so far ... they weren't kidding. Red Death is a multiplayer add-on that is now available to all owners of Civilization 6, completely free of charge, and changes the game's historical theme with a post-apocalyptic theme. Specifically, we are playing in a very radioactive environment here, and instead of civilizations we have classes like mutants, pirates, mad scientists, cultists… well, everyone is there.

The very concept of fashion may sound familiar to you. Every player here struggles to stay last on the map so he can evacuate before being eaten by a Red Death radio ring that narrows and drives players to a specific part of the map. The player does not initially have a large arsenal, but exploring different camps and destroyed cities can find more powerful weapons, including nukes.

Yes, it's battle royale mode - in Civilization. The pace is faster than usual because there is no construction, and up to 12 players can be played on the map at a time. It's a small number for battle royale terms, but it's worth noting that there will also be computer-controlled opponents in the matches to keep the action alive.
