Cheaper PlayStation Now, God of War and Uncharted 4 now playable on PC too

Sony has announced price reductions for its PlayStation Now streaming service and added three significant new games to its existing catalog.

The PlayStation Now streaming service has failed to establish itself as something unavoidable, either on PlayStation consoles or on a PC. At first the price was to blame for this, and although it went down with age, it was still expensive considering what was being offered. Fortunately, Sony realized this and decided to permanently cut the price of the PlayStation Now subscription.

In Europe, PlayStation Now will now cost 10 euros a month (or 60 euros a year), which is five euros cheaper on a monthly basis and 30 euros cheaper on an annual basis. If you are already subscribed, you will only get a cheaper service when you renew your subscription - in the meantime, there is no refund of the price difference.

New prices are not the only novelty for PlayStation Now. The game catalog has just been expanded with four major titles, three of which are significant PS4s. These are: God of War (2018), Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, inFamous Second Son, and GTA 5. All of these games on PS Now will be available by early 2020.

As PS Now is also available on PC, this means that with PC streaming technology, God of War and Uncharted 4 can now play. In 720p resolution and with a slight lag in controls, but hey - it's possible. On the other hand, on the PlayStation 4 for $ 10 PS Now subscriptions you can get access to these exclusives without streaming, because on the PS4 console PS4 games you can download with PS Now. This way, you can play games at a lower price, but you don't own them.

Admittedly, PS Now is not yet officially available in our area, so you have to make up foreign addresses to activate it, which probably won't be appealing to users who want to get to the games as easily as possible.
