The PlayStation 4 and Facebook connection was broken, temporarily

Sony removed the Facebook social network integration from its PlayStation 4 console yesterday. Facebook says - temporarily.

As of yesterday, you can no longer use Facebook on the PlayStation 4 console to share pictures and videos of the game and brag about winning trophies. Also, you can no longer add friends to your PSN account through acquaintances from Facebook. If you used a Facebook picture on your PSN account, you will no longer be able to access it.

While it may appear from this information that Sony is removing functionality from its PlayStation 4 console, it is likely that Facebook is the one making the changes to its business, so these changes are no longer in line with the existing deal they have with Sony.

Facebook says they are working with Sony to update a contract that would improve their social network integration on PlayStation, but while these arrangements are ongoing, all ties between PlayStation and Facebook have been broken. It seems that this situation is only temporary, but there is no date when things could go back to old.
