The Avengers will not be able to play in a local co-op

If you were hoping to be able to play Marvel's Avengers socially on one console / PC, unfortunately - none of that.

Playing in a split screen has long been a secondary form of multiplayer. Nevertheless, games that have this option are still appearing. For example, the recent Borderlands 3 brings the ability to play in split-screen mode, however technically disastrous it was.

Unfortunately, Marvel's Avengers won't be one of those games, it was confirmed at the Comic-Con convention in New York. Although the game will be able to play cooperatively with other players, it will not be feasible in a local co-op, that is, no more players will be able to play the game on a single console.

Although some players might be disappointed, we did not expect otherwise. Running a game in split-screen mode is extremely difficult to do because of the hardware limitations of the consoles, and judging by what we've seen so far, Marvel's Avengers will be a graphically very detailed game, and there is already a bit of a twitch in the gameplay footage.
