See what the cooperative Spec Ops mode will look like in CoD: Modern Warfare

The co-op component of this year's Call of Duty game comes with a few fresh but also recycled ideas.

In addition to the single-player campaign and the multiplayer component, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will also have a co-operative segment of the game. If you have been following the game announcement from the beginning then you know it will not be Zombies but Special Ops mode. However, this mode itself will be divided into several modes. Earlier it was announced that Survival mode would be exclusive to the PlayStation 4 version of the game for a full year, and we have now revealed what will bring the main Operations mode, which will be available to everyone upon release.

So this is a four-player co-op mode that takes place on several maps of the urban environment of a city called Verdansk where we will fight an army called Al-Qatala. In operations, we will be able to use most killstreaks from multiplayer, and vehicles will also be able to use them. New operations will come into play gradually upon release, simultaneously on all platforms. Of course, playing in this mode will support the cross-play option.

In Operations mode, players will be able to choose how they want to approach the task. He will be able to play tactically but also with Rambo approach. But there will also be content for those seeking co-op directed action. This part of the game is reserved for Missions content - missions that are linear and at the end of each you get ranked for effectiveness. These missions will be able to be played solo or in a team of four players.


In Special Ops, the base of the game will be classes, and you can choose from six different ones: Assault, Recon, Engineer, Demolition, Medic and Heavy. Each class will have their own specific skill, and the gameplay will be designed to suit the diversity of classes in the team and encourage the cooperation of the players themselves.
