Ubisoft removed part of microtransactions from Ghost Recon Breakpoint, said they were mistakenly inserted into the game

After the gaming community expressed outrage over the Ghost Recon Breakpoint content monetization system, which costs € 60, Ubisoft withdrew its microtransactions - temporarily.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint was launched earlier this week and received immediate backlash from one part of the audience. Specifically, it has been revealed that the game has as many as two layers of microtransactions and that virtually everything in the game can be bought with real money, including the virtual currency Skell Credits. A good deal of the items being sold are cosmetic in nature, but there is also a Time Savers category which sells various boosters that allow customers to progress faster in the game.

To be more precise, the category existed until yesterday when Ubisoft decided to remove it after numerous criticisms. So when the game becomes available to all players today, there will no longer be an opportunity to buy mini-cheats or make faster progress. As they say from Ubisoft, it was added to the Ghost Recon Breakpoint by mistake.

Well, they don't say it exactly - the only mistake is that the Time Savers microtransaction category should not have been in play immediately upon release. It is "designed for players who will play GR Breakpoint later, enabling them to catch up with players who have played the game from the start and are looking for co-op partners."

Therefore, Time Savers microtransactions are gone, but this is only temporary - it will return when nobody cares about the game anymore. My words, not Ubisoft's. However, Ubisoft is appeasing players and saying that faster progress will not affect the PvP component of the game because it is balanced so that all players have similar conditions in the matches.
