Nintendo made a huge ad for Xbox yesterday in Japan

Creator of Super Smash Bros. The series was told yesterday by fans of the series to play the old Banjo-Kazooie game on Xbox instead of Nintendo 64.

It doesn't happen every day that someone from Nintendo instructs players to play a game on consoles other than Nintendo. But that's exactly what happened last night on Nintendo Direct, where he created Super Smash Bros. gave the series a huge commercial on the Xbox.

Specifically, in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate new fighters from the Banjo-Kazooie game are coming soon. Since 1998, the game has only been available on the Nintendo 64 console, until Microsoft bought the rights to it, along with the studio that made the game, and transferred the game to the Xbox 360 in 2008. Masahiro Sakurai of Nintendo explained the situation. and told fans that Banjo-Kazooie would rather play on the Xbox than on Nintendo 64.

"If you're going to play Banjo-Kazooie, you can play it on Xbox. I say that though this is a Nintendo transmission. Please feel free to play the game on the Xbox, ”Sakurai said. With that statement in Japan, the Xbox has briefly become the most remembered word on Twitter.

Sakurai actually thanked Microsoft for giving them their characters. We don't know, of course, whether they were charged at all, but it's nice to see a collaboration between two big companies. As far as the recommendation is concerned, it was also stated for convenience. Specifically, it's easier to get Banjo-Kazooie for the Xbox today, since the game is also supported on the Xbox One console and can be purchased digitally there. On the other hand, Banjo-Kazooie is no longer available for sale on the N64, and the console itself is no longer manufactured.
