Borderlands 3 will still have the option of early download on PC

However, Epic Games has decided to allow Borderlands 3 PC customers to download the game before its official release.

Borderlands 3 will be released on September 13 and it has been announced that the game will be playable from midnight on the same date. Little has meant so far to PC players as they were told that they would not have the option of preloading, or earlier downloading the game, which meant that they could not start playing as soon as the game became available but first had to download an installation that weighs about 70 gigabytes. On consoles, however, there is a preload option, and technically Epic Games Store also supports this option, so many have wondered what kind of nonsense they are.

Fortunately, there has been a change of plan and Borderlands 3 will still get a preload option on PC. The game will be available for download at the earliest 48 hours before its release, meaning from 11. 9. The same goes for pre-load on consoles. Epic Games did not explain why they changed their minds, but it's pretty clear that disgruntled gamers have made it clear they don't want to be treated as second-class citizens.

Admittedly, console players will still have a minimum privileged status for Borderlands 3. Namely, what we mentioned at the beginning of the article - that the game will be able to start playing from September 13 at 00:00; this is true for PS4 / XBO versions. PC players will be able to play Borderlands 3 an hour later; therefore at one o'clock in the night. One hour difference, but there - it's not the same.
