Actor Dave Bautista, who is a major contender for the role of Marcus Fenix in the Gears of War movie adaptation, will be a playable character in Gears 5.
Fans of the Gears (of War) series have for years mentioned actor Dave Bautista as the ideal candidate for the role of Marcus Fenix in the film adaptation of the SF series. The actor himself confirmed that this engagement would be his dream job, but nothing has been agreed yet - not for his role but for the production of the film. Still, Bautista will really become part of the Gears franchise this month.
It has been announced that he will be one of the characters in the game and will be able to play with him in all modes outside the main campaign. Admittedly, it's not about actor Dave Bautista, it's about his character; a retired Batisti wrestler. Therefore, this promotion was agreed upon with Microsoft and WWE.
Batista will be able to unlock the game immediately after the release of Gears 5, September 15, and no later than October 28, 2019. After that date, Batista will still be able to use it, but players who play the game after that day will no longer be able to unlock it.
