The creators of Formula One games are in a tricky position after a Formula 2 driver is died

The Codemasters team has not yet announced what it will do about the driver who died last weekend in a Formula 2 race.

For the first time in the series, the F1 2019 video game introduced the possibility of competing in Formula 2 racing. The 2018 season was available upon release, and the Codemasters development studio excitedly announced the arrival of the 2019 season last weekend through a free update.

However, it looks like that update could be delayed as a tragic accident occurred in Formula 2 last weekend in which driver Anthoine Hubert was fatally shot. He rammed into the fence on the Spa Francorchamps track and was struck back on the track by the driver Juan Manuel Corree.

At this point, it is unknown how the Codemasters will react to this event - whether to leave Hubert in the game and pay homage to him, or out of courtesy to his family will not include him in the new season. The update that was supposed to add to the 2019 F2 season did not have a release date, so even with a delay, we probably won't know how much this event will actually affect it.
