GTA 5 was again the most downloaded game on the PS Store in the eighth month

Sony has released a list of the best-selling PS4 games in the digital release for the eighth month, with the only GTA 5 topped.

Rockstar and their GTA 5 have a very successful summer behind them. In the seventh month, a luxury casino opened at GTA Online and a bunch of players returned to the game on the occasion. We saw the results at the end of the seventh month when GTA 5 came back to the top of the best-selling charts for some time. In the eighth month, we have an almost identical situation, and the proof of this is the list of games with the highest downloads in the PlayStation Store.

GTA 5 is the flagship game for the second month in a row, ahead of Minecraft and Rainbow Six Siege. Admittedly, this list only applies to paid games, while F2P titles are listed separately. As Sony doesn't reveal specific figures, we don't know if the GTA 5, for example, had more downloads in August than Fortnite.

In any case, this is an impressive result for the six-year-old game, and the list is also a confirmation that in the eighth month there was a summer drought. Namely, there are no 2019 titles among the ten most downloaded games.

  1. Grand Theft Auto V
  2. Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition
  3. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege
  4. FIFA 19
  5. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  6. Red Dead Redemption 2
  7. The Forest
  8. Marvel's Spider-Man
  9. Playerunknown's Battlegrounds
  10. The Crew 2
