The movie Sonic The Hedgehog has already raised $ 100 million

The movie adaptation of the legendary Sonic borrowed its speed feature, earning nine digits the fastest of all game movies.

When it was announced that the film adaptation of Sonic the Hedgehog would be a fusion of feature film and animated film, the decision was viewed with skepticism. When the first trailer for the movie came out, everyone buried it because of the main character's unnatural appearance and poor humor. However, Sonic quickly changed the board as soon as the movie aired.

The film was launched in most territories last week, including in the Croatian market (in sync, unfortunately), and in the first four days of screening, it made US $ 100 million, reports Variety. More than half of that ($ 57 million) was made in the US market, and is a record-breaking first-weekend earnings for a video game movie.



Given that the film's production cost $ 87 million, Sonic has already made a profit with Paramount Pictures, and with such a good start it is possible that "Sonic: Super Hedgehog" will also become the most lucrative video game movie. Currently, this title is held by last year's Detective Pikachu.

As far as criticism goes, Sonic on Rotten Tomatoes currently holds a rating of 63%, but there are much more positive reactions from the audience - out of 7357 viewers, as much as 95% recommend watching the movie.
