To our surprise, a new Call of Duty is coming out this year as well

Activision has confirmed plans for the current year, and their plans are quite predictable. New Call of Duty.

There will be no new Battlefield this year, but Activision has confirmed there is no truce. The new Call of Duty is out by the end of 2020. Because it has to come out. That's how the universe works, and so does the business plan of the Activision team.

It is not yet publicly known whose Call of Duty we will play. According to the schedule so far, it is the turn of the Sledgehammer Games team that have made Advanced Warfare and WWII Advanced F press pay to date.
