Ghost returns to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, season two begins

Tonight begins the new season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, with new maps and modes returning with Simon “Ghost” Riley.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is entering its second season today, and this information is of benefit to all players, as you probably already know - new folders and modes are free to all players.

The second season of Modern Warfare, from day one, brings maps for classic multiplayer modes, Ground War and Gunfight. Some of them are recycling from previous games, like Rust based on Endgame Mission location from Modern Warfare 2. But there are also new ones, like Atlas Superstore, a Russian shopping mall. Ground War mode gets a map called Zhokov Boneyard, a plane dump in Verdansk. Gunfight mode gets a Bazaar map on the streets of Urzikstan. During the second season, another map will come, Khandor Hideout.

The second season will immediately feature two additional modes - the Gunfight Tournaments - a tournament for 32 teams in Gunfight, and the CoD League Ruleset Playlist - a mode in which it is played according to the official rules of the CoD League. Later in the season comes Demolition, a respawn mode for two teams competing in bomb destruction. Also coming is Infected Ground War, which sounds to us like Horde mode with zombies (which they said would not be in this game). Finally, there will be NVG Reinforce, a hybrid mode that combines Domination with Search & Destroy mode.

The famous Simon “Ghost” Riley is also back in the game, but it will be part of the Battle Pass to buy. If nothing, unlocking Ghosta in Tier 0 means right after you buy Battle Pass. Apart from him, two more operatives will appear during the season: Talon - belonging to special forces from Canada, and US ranger Mace.
