BioWare admitted that Anthem was a miss, but they haven't given up on the game

As the anniversary of the unlucky Anthem game is coming soon, BioWare has decided to let fans know what their plans are for the future.

Those Christmas decorations that still stand in Anthem seem to be a hint of an impending state of play during 2020. Namely, the official blog of BioWare published an entry called "The Future of Anthem" and through the apologetic tone confirmed that the team is working on a thorough redesign of the game, but given that in the near future we do not expect significant additions or improvements in the current game. So there won’t be any seasons until the complete redesign comes along.

As for the changes to this major game redesign, they will be related to the basic elements of the game - the loot, progression system and end game. BioWare says it will focus on a gameplay loop with clear goals, motivating challenges and moving forward with significant rewards.

The current version of Anthem will not shut down, and players who want to play it for some reason will receive recycled content from previous events during 2019.

“Creating new worlds is the central mission of our studio, but it's not an easy job. Sometimes we do it right and sometimes we miss it. What drives us forward is player support. Your feedback gives us guidance on how we can improve, and your passion inspires us with the courage to create, ”the statement said.
