Another Silent Hill movie will be made

The director of the first Silent Hill movie has confirmed that he is returning to the universe, and will be directing another movie after another horror video game.

The 2006 Silent Hill movie adaptation is one of my favorites. It's not some great quality work, but it's a solid horror movie. Plus, it also brought some new ideas into the existing Silent Hill universe that were well received by game fans. The sequel to 2012's Revelation was significantly weaker, and I attribute this to the advancement of 3D technology at the time and the change in director.

Last week, we heard some rumors that Konami was preparing two new Silent Hill games, and now another interesting news has arrived. The director of the first Silent Hill film, Christophe Gans, for French portal Allocine has confirmed that he is working on a new film and will again focus on the cult of Silent Hill.

However, this will not be his only adaptation of a video game he will make in the future. He confirmed that he would screen another well-known horror series - Fatal Frame or Project Zero, as he is known in Japan. These games deal with the ghost theme, and Christope Gans has revealed that he will transfer the same theme to a movie to be shot in Japan, where the games themselves take place.
