Red Dead Redemption 2 has become more successful than GTA: San Andreas
Rockstar games are sold as hot buns. The GTA 5 sold more than 20 million units last year, and the RDR2 was successful.
Rockstar Games doesn't really need to make Grand Theft Auto 6 - it would just make unnecessary competition for the existing GTA 5, which is still selling itself crazy six years after its first appearance. Almost 20 million units were sold last year, bringing the total to 120 million units sold. In the last three months, from November to February, more than 5 million copies have been sold, an incredible result for the six-year-old game.
According to a financial report from Take Two Interactive, Red Dead Redemption 2, which has sold 29 million copies, is also holding up well above GTA: San Andreas. It was helped by this PC release, which was played by about four million PC players. Rockstar now has three of the top 20 best-selling games in history. Only Nintendo teams are the only ones.
