Diablo 4 will be able to play on the PC using the controller, the devil took it

Blizzard has released some new details about the interface and controls of Diablo 4, which will lend some version options to PCs for consoles.

Blizzard has shared some new details and information about Diablo 4 with its fans, some of which could give rise to complicated discussions. In particular, as far as the PC version is concerned, it will get a bit of "console love". Namely, as this is the first Diablo game to be developed for both PC and consoles, it has been decided that for the first time in PC history, the PC version will have native support for playing controller or gamepad.

This will, of course, be an optional thing, and the switching between the mouse / keyboard and controller will be instantaneous and the game interface will adapt to the control method used at the same time. This kind of support is generally good because it provides more ways to play the game, but the most ardent Diablo fans may see the introduction of controller support in the PC version as a simplification of the Diablo formula. Blizzard is saying that this is not the case and that controller support is not a limiting thing for how complex a game can be.

Of the slightly less controversial novelties, it has been announced that players will be able to change keys for all actions in the game, including left-clicking. So, if for some reason you don't like the left click to attack and collect equipment - you will be able to switch this action to another button.

As for the interface, Blizzard listened to fan suggestions on BlizzConn for a little while and made the interface itself less colorful, primarily in inventory where the colors for the loot lost their grip. For the main interface and position for the skills, mana, and energy segment, Blizzard will offer two options on the PC: this part will be positioned in the middle at the bottom of the screen, or in the bottom left corner.

However, console players will not be able to choose between these two options, but they will be positioned in the bottom left corner. The reason is that the players are farther away from the TV than from the monitor, thus reducing the need to shift their gaze from the middle of the screen to the corners.

As for the new content, a family of enemies - the cannibals - was introduced. Certainly, cannibals engage in the consumption of human flesh and attack caravans for this purpose. They have four different types of opponents, all of which use proximity weapons. So, cannibals do not have long range attacks, but some have the ability to jump towards a player, or to jump over objects and even each other to reach a player.
