The PlayStation 5 logo has been revealed - there are no surprises until it is turned upside down

Some have hoped that Sony will show the PlayStation 5 console for the first time at CES this year. But it didn't happen - they only showed her logo.

At Sony they decided to stay traditional by naming the next PlayStation console, sticking to the same principle with the PlayStation 5 logo. As you can see in the picture above, it will stay true to the previous logo design used by the PlayStation 3 and 4 - the only difference is in number.

While revealing the console logo is not what we had hoped for from Sony at the CES trade show, it should be acknowledged that it is also an important part in the launch of the new platform. This logo will appear on all physical editions of the games, on the box of the console itself, etc. If anything, we are assured that in other segments, such as game packaging, we should not expect drastic changes compared to the PlayStation 4.

An interesting joke about the logo came from the Devolver Digital publishing team, who said that the logo confirmed the biggest news of the PlayStation 5. Namely, when you turn the logo upside down, both vertically and horizontally, the PS5 can be read as an SSD.
