Dota Underlords is leaving early access, but the forecast is not clear
The old version of the popular auto chess format will be released in version 1.0 soon, it seems at the right time as it loses more and more players.
The 2019 auto chess phenomenon will now get the first concrete games outside of early access, and one of them is Dota Underlords. Valve have announced that their car chess game will receive another update, and will be officially launched in version 1.0 in the second month of 2020.
It remains to be seen if this will help the game at all, since interest from it has declined greatly since the beginning. The Dota Underlords played more than 200,000 players this summer, down more than 90%. For Valve, this is not an encouraging result, as this is their second game in the last two years, which has failed to keep their players for long. However, player ratings are far more positive for Dota Underlords than for the Artifact card game.
